Structural Stability of Ni/Al Layered Double Hydroxide Supported on Graphite and Biochar Toward Adorption of Congo Red

In this research, Ni/Al layered double hydroxide (LDH) was modified by using co-precipitation method to generate Ni/Al-graphite (Ni/Al-GF) and Ni/Al-biochar (Ni/Al-BC). The adsorbents were applied remove Congo Red from aqueous solution. obtained samples characterized XRD, FTIR, BET TG-DTA. XRD diffraction pattern of LDH, Ni/Al-GF, Ni/Al-BC presented the formation composite with decreasing crystallinity. surface area LDHs higher than pristine materials, which 15.106 m2/g, 21.595 m2/g 438.942 for Ni/Al-LDH, respectively. adsorption on materials tested at diferent parameters results exhibited that pseudo-first-order (PFO) kinetic, spontaneous, endothermic followed Langmuir model. removed high performance stability capacity 116.297 mg/g Ni/Al-GF 312.500 Ni/Al-BC.
